Simio is seeking an experienced VP of SALES to help grow our discrete event simulation software business to market leadership. In a highly competitive environment, responsibilities include expanding, training and managing a US sales team from our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA (Sewickley, PA). Reporting to the CEO, the position requires acquiring technical knowledge of Simio engineering software for customer presentations while guiding the sales team to the same level. Simio generates sales opportunities via an active website, trade events, hunting for business, and the unique Simio Academic Grant Program. Primary selling is done using remote presentations/product demonstrations that highlight the value of simulation along with Simio’s features and modeling capabilities.
Responsibilities include managing sales activities using Salesforce and maintaining and an accurate sales forecast and sales pipeline to achieve sales targets and quotas. In this high sales transaction environment, coordination with internal engineering, marketing and administration is essential for closing business. These solutions will be implemented utilizing Simio data driven simulation-based scheduling technology. Simio is seeking an experienced Product Engineer, a highly versatile person to become an in-house expert in the Simio simulation and scheduling products. Depending on your skills and desires, your responsibilities will include many or all of the following:
You will be working in an agile environment as an integral part of the development team. We are looking for a leader and an innovator. You will be a senior member of the engineering team and as such demonstrate leadership, mentoring, and training to the less experienced members.
Requirements for this position include at least a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science, math, or other field related to computer software development, engineering, modeling and simulation from an accredited college or university, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in team settings. Experience in simulation and the Simio product is required. Experience in scheduling is a big plus. At least 5 years of pertinent work experience and track record of success is required.
