Inside Sales – Engineering Software for Digital Transformation

Simio is seeking an Inside Sales team member to encourage prospective customers to expand their evaluation of Simio’s software. Responsibilities include contacting prospective customers by phone to qualify their level of interest. You will schedule meetings for senior Simio team members. Your duties include delivering appropriate technical and marketing content as requested by prospective customers. Additional duties include secondary and primary market research to identify potential prospects for Simio software products. As an Inside Sales team member, you will contact prospective customers via phone, email and direct mail with invitations to attend trade events, webinars and training sessions. Sales training will be provided.

Advancement opportunities exist. The Inside Sales team member will be offered training in the use of Simio discrete event simulation software. High achievement of stated objectives may lead to a Direct Sales track.

You will perform duties from Simio headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA (Sewickley, PA).   This position will report directly to the Vice President of Simulation Sales with coordination with Vice President of Marketing.

The requirements for this position are:

  • A Bachelor’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or computer science a plus.
  • One (1) year work experience required, sales training will be provided.
  • Passion for growing your sales career and professional selling skills.

Office and Technical Support Administrative Assistant

Simio is seeking an Office and Technical Support Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of technical support and administrative tasks.  Responsibilities include issuing software activations and responding to any activation questions from customers while providing access to the online user forum.  You will administer the online learning system and provide any needed support to ensure positive results for all users.  Your responsibilities will also include the coordination of our semi-annual student competition.  Additionally, you will provide support to managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. 

This position is a full-time position based at Simio headquarters in Sewickley, PA.  This person will report to the Vice President of Administration and Finance.

Industry 4.0 / Scheduling Applications Engineer

Simio is seeking a talented individual with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing IT applications, decision support, optimization, supply chain and advanced planning and scheduling (SAP PP/DS, Preactor, i2, PlanetTogether, Ortems, etc.) to join our team in delivering Industry 4.0 solutions.  These solutions will be implemented utilizing Simio data driven simulation-based scheduling technology.  This position requires both a strong knowledge of manufacturing, manufacturing systems and data integration skills.  Experience with ERP, PLM, MES (Wonderware MES) and other manufacturing systems is strongly desired.   As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for many of the following:

  • Engage with the executive level as part of a pre-sales team to present our unique simulation-based scheduling capabilities.
  • Develop and present proof-of-concept digital twin solutions for customer evaluation.
  • Write functional and technical specifications and project proposals.
  • Work on customer engagements to manage and deliver solutions from inception to completion (including post-project support).
  • Integrate data driven models utilizing data from ERP, MES (manufacturing execution systems such as Wonderware MES) and automation systems to drive Simio’s real-time production scheduling capabilities.  Interfaces can be flat-file based, direct database access (SQL, JDBC, ODBC or other technologies), RESTful web-services (SOAP, XML, JSON etc.), SAP IDOCs / RFCs, B2MML, or other options.
  • Implement cloud-based dashboards / reports and experimentation analysis tooling built on Microsoft Azure and other web-based platforms.
  • Lead key strategic projects to expand Simio’s product offerings into new markets.
  • Create digital twin / scheduling templates to help refine system functionalities and assist other users in the Simio user community.

Requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems or related technical field.  Candidate must have some programming skills (preferably C#) and understanding of object-oriented programming.  Excellent English written and verbal communication skills area also required.  Industry 4.0 / scheduling solutions are created using the Simio simulation modeling platform.  Experience with simulation modeling using Simio is desired, but not required.   Candidate must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time (domestic and internationally).

Digital Twin Delivery Manager

Simio is seeking a senior level manager to lead the delivery of our enterprise Industry 4.0 solutions to premier global clients. As a Digital Twin Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for many of the following:

  • Lead one or more service teams (architect, project engineer, integration, etc.) to deliver solutions that meet the most pressing business needs of our Fortune 500 customers
  • Engage with the executive level as part of a pre-sales team to present our unique simulation-based scheduling capabilities
  • Work with solution team to develop and present proof-of-concept digital twin solutions for customer evaluation
  • Manage creation of functional/technical specifications and project proposals
  • Support our customers at varying levels of digital maturity from project inception to completion (including post-project support) over multiple phases and multi-year deployments
  • Manage on the ground client relationships and expectations, working to balance multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Lead integration of data driven models utilizing data from ERP, MES (e.g Wonderware) and automation systems to drive Simio’s real-time production scheduling capabilities
  • Implement cloud-based dashboards / reports and experimentation analysis tooling built on Microsoft Azure and other web-based platforms
  • Lead key strategic projects to expand Simio’s product offerings into new markets and industry verticals
  • Contribute to build best practices and Simio IP to share learning across the organization, streamline delivery and improve implementation methodology

Requirements for this position:

  • 10+ years of industry experience, managing large scale solution implementations with multi-million-dollar budgets and multi-year roll outs
  • Proven track record of on-time, on-budget execution
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, including C-level Executives
  • Competency and motivation to fill a player/coach role.  Ability to grasp the technical details and contribute to the solution while keeping an eye on the overall direction and business implications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related technical field

International Channel Manager

Simio is seeking a channel manager to execute the Simio go to market strategy through current and potential international channel partners.  These partners sell Simio software and services to our global clients. The focus of this role is to build successful relationships with Simio channel partners in order to develop and support sales strategies and to train and develop their sales team.  This role will report into the Vice President of Strategic Alliances.  As an International Channel Manager, you will be responsible for many of the following:

  • Educate Simio partners on Simio’s strategy and ensure Partner’s business model aligns to support Simio’s vision and the strategy of Simio’s partner program
  • Enable and support channel partners’ pre-sales teams to present our unique process digital twin suite of products
  • Support channel partners to be successful at regional or local events, such as trade shows, conferences or other events
  • Monitor the health of each partner by measuring key performance indicators set by Simio leadership
  • Manage and track partners’ sales & marketing execution, making sure that the Simio brand is properly reflected across all channels
  • Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiencies with processes, sales methodology, tools, product offerings, and partner development.
  • Contribute to build best practices and Simio IP to share learning across the organization and amongst Simio partners

Requirements for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree.  A degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or related technical field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in channel management, channel development and software sales
  • Proven ability of building and maintaining productive relationships with partners or customers, that involved motivating, coaching and leading
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and maintain a customer service focused mindset
  • Aptitude and willingness to quickly learn the technical details of the Simio software in order to recommend the appropriate Simio solution that will address the customer business requirements

Software Engineer

Simio is seeking a software engineer to develop desktop and cloud-based solutions for simulation modeling and scheduling, create complex product design, product architecture and development, create and implement interface design and databases/data integration, make modifications to correct software errors, improve performance, adapt to client needs, software testing and validation, and lead the development, design, and maintenance of desktop simulation and cloud-based simulation products.

The requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5 years’ experience with Microsoft .NET framework, .NET Technologies, n-tier architecture, C#, SQL Server, MVC and SaaS.

Product Engineer

Simio is seeking an experienced Product Engineer, a highly versatile person to become an in-house expert in the Simio simulation and scheduling products. Depending on your skills and desires, your responsibilities will include many or all of the following:

  • Working with sales to help evaluate customer needs and explain how Simio features can meet those needs.
  • Providing support to help customers and partners resolve any modeling problems to meet their modeling objectives.
  • Develop simulation models for analysis of systems and processes in manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, logistics, supply chain analysis, and more.
  • Help develop training materials and conduct public and private training courses to help customers be successful.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure excellent product design and quality to meet future customer needs.
  • Document and “productize” new features to make it easy for customers to learn and use the features.

You will be working in an agile environment as an integral part of the development team. We are looking for a leader and an innovator. You will be a senior member of the engineering team and as such demonstrate leadership, mentoring, and training to the less experienced members.

Requirements for this position include at least a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science, math, or other field related to computer software development, engineering, modeling and simulation from an accredited college or university, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in team settings. Experience in simulation and the Simio product is required. Experience in scheduling is a big plus. At least 5 years of pertinent work experience and track record of success is required.
