Senior Web Developer

Who is Simio?

At Simio we develop and sell a portfolio of software applications that help companies solve their most challenging problems. We are a very stable 12-year-old small company that is experiencing tremendous growth because of the impact global supply chain pressures are having on companies across a broad range of industries. Simio’s intellectual property and industrial know-how are at the core of our secret sauce. Our growth is creating job opportunities across the company. Specific to our world-class software development organization, we are looking to hire a tenured web developer to help take our web portal to new heights. The current version is leveraged to schedule production operations and run simulation experiments at scale. We have large aspirations for where our Portal can go and the value it can drive for Simio’s customers. You will work alongside our VP of Architecture to lay out what Portal v2.0 looks like it, it’s software architecture, and build it. It will be used by Fortune 100 companies to optimize and schedule their production operations and multi-plant supply-chain.

Why join Simio?

  • Does developing complex code that ships software every three weeks sound exciting to you?
  • Do you currently develop software in a highly regulated industry where you feel your creativity is stifled, and you are looking for a more challenging role?
  • At Simio you will not hear the words SAFe, waterfall, or waterfragile, and we do not practice bulky SDLCs. We run 3-week sprints, which reduces the frequency of overplanning and agile ceremonies. Over the course of a 3-week (15 day / 120 hour) sprint cycle, less than 10% of your time will be spent in recurring meetings.
  • We offer a flexible work environment with options for working from our headquarters in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, to working remotely, or a combination of both. Our office is not filled with rows and rows of cubes as far as the eye can see. When you work at our headquarters, you will be in a good-sized office with a door and only one officemate, so you can concentrate and collaborate when and how you want.
  • We prefer Pittsburgh-based team members but if you are not in the ‘Burgh and Simio sounds like the place you want to work, please apply!
