Industry 4.0 / Scheduling Applications Engineer
Simio is seeking a talented individual with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing IT applications, decision support, optimization, supply chain and advanced planning and scheduling (SAP PP/DS, Preactor, i2, PlanetTogether, Ortems, etc.) to join our team in delivering Industry 4.0 solutions. These solutions will be implemented utilizing Simio data driven simulation-based scheduling technology. This position requires both a strong knowledge of manufacturing, manufacturing systems and data integration skills. Experience with ERP, PLM, MES (Wonderware MES) and other manufacturing systems is strongly desired. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for many of the following:
Requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems or related technical field. Candidate must have some programming skills (preferably C#) and understanding of object-oriented programming. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills area also required. Industry 4.0 / scheduling solutions are created using the Simio simulation modeling platform. Experience with simulation modeling using Simio is desired, but not required. Candidate must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time (domestic and internationally).
Simio LLC is looking for a highly versatile person to become an in-house expert in the Simio simulation and scheduling products. Depending on your skills and desires, your responsibilities will include many or all of the following:

Requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science, math, or other field related to computer software development, engineering, modeling and simulation from an accredited college or university, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in team settings. Experience in simulation and the Simio product is required. Experience in scheduling is a big plus.
Senior Applications Engineer
If your skills include all the aspects mentioned for Application Engineer (above) and more, consider this position. As a Senior Applications Engineer you will work with more responsibility and a greater degree of independence. We are looking for a leader and an innovator. Determine approaches and write functional specifications for larger projects, work as part of a team dealing directly with a customer’s upper management to explain our solutions and benefits. Manage and implement projects to assure customer satisfaction. Become a technical specialist or domain specialist.
At least 5 years of pertinent work experience and track record of success is required.
At least familiar with one or more programming language such as C++, C#, C, Java etc.
Experience with database software and working with MES and ERP programs is a big plus.
Simio LLC is seeking a software engineer to develop desktop and cloud-based solutions for simulation modeling and scheduling, create complex product design, product architecture and development, create and implement interface design and databases/data integration, make modifications to correct software errors, improve performance, adapt to client needs, software testing and validation, and lead the development, design, and maintenance of desktop simulation and cloud-based simulation products.
The requirements for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5 years’ experience with Microsoft .NET framework, .NET Technologies, n-tier architecture, C#, SQL Server, MVC and SaaS.
