I want to create a list of materials from data table. I can refer to inventory replenishment policy from table by adding by adding "replenishment policy" property from data tables. But how do I define the default values of Re order point and Up to Level parameters for these auto-created materials? I cannot see such option even in the built in Material Table Scheme. Any help is really appreciated. Kind regards -

Hi, I am looking for an event which can be used in a Wait step in a process which is triggered by an entity finishing processing in a station. Also potentially an event which is triggered when an entity exits a station. Do I have to manually fire an event with an addon process from every station which I wish to do this?

In the source of my model, I would like to generate arrival events by looking through row by row of a given table. However, I only want to create the 2nd arrival event when all the entities of the created by the first arrival event has moved beyond a certain point, where Globalstatevalue = 0. So in my process flow, I did something like this:When the globalstatevalue = 0, I want to go to the next row of my table and generate the 2nd arrival. I did this my fire an event The setting at my source: Arrival Mode: On event Triggering Event Name: name of event that I fired in the process flow. I managed to get the initial arrival to make sure that the Globalstatevalue = 0. condition is reached. However, the 2nd event is not triggerd at all and the CurrentRowNumber is not incremented as well. May I have some advice please? Thank you

One machine in my model needs to realize three type of failure event during the simulation. The first type of failure will happen every random.expo(3) minutes and need an operator to adjust it, the second type of failure will happen after every 100 entities be processed and need the same operator to deal with, the third type of failure is random.exponential(3) days and need engineer to repair. All the three types are independent occurred. How can I model this condition? Any suggestion will be appreciated!

Hello, In my model I’ve made entity arrival mode to be On event and I’ve created an event named CommandeEvent in the Definition ==>event section. In order to action the event, I’ve created a process called ProcessEvent in which I have a decide step followed by a fire step that fire the CommandeEvent if the condition in the Decide step is respected. But when I run the model, the entities are not created. Is there something I should do differently or add ? Thank you, Flora

Is there a way to trigger an event every X seconds? I can do this using an auxiliar source that triggers the event whenever an entity is generated and I place the interarrival time at the desired value. I was hoping there would be a better method to do so (if I need N events with different cycle times I can't just build N sources and sinks...

How do you define a new state variable for an entity type? I mean here the things that arrive and travel through he model (they would be temporary entities in SIMSCRIPT II.5, transactions in GPSS/H, workpieces in Simul_. I have consulted the online help, and gone through the SimBits that looked as if they should be relevant, but cannot find an answer anywhere. I am attempting the embarrassingly simple task of randomly assigning a priority, 1..3, to an entity on arrival into the model, and later having them queue FIFO within priority class for service. As I do not need dynamic priority I expect a parameter would do instead of a state, but either way I cannot find how to perform the simple task of defining a field for an entity class. Once that is done I expect assigning to it should be easy. All the best, John. -
The input parameter which says where the data ""is taken from real world data that has been sampled and fit to a distribution. With table values type, the input parameters define data that is sampled directly from a table column as recommended by recent research for improved accuracy."" Can some one help me in how to use this parameter to directly use my raw data and convert it into distribution.(This is not a Binding logic) Would appreciate your help- Thanks! -
I want to trigger an event based on the cumulated flow time (or the cumulated time when flowregulator.enabled = true) of a flow node. I tried to use the Timer and set the interval type of "TimeInState", but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

Hello, I am trying program a model , I need to know if is possible programing failure event in a objet SINK and SOURCE. the model has SINK and SOURCE elements and a vehicle, the vehicle is responsible for carrying bodies from the Source points to SINK, vehicles are subject to failure and this in its definition, but I need that SINK is also found 20% of the time fails. there any native method to do so?, with an event I can generate timer events scheduled but I need to SINK probabilistic variable. this change or what process should be carried out in the model or have to copy the object and create a new process?. Not able to find some simbits failure to occupy, if anyone has any examples or know how. Regards Cristian.
