  1. Good morning, Looking at flow nodes, under the Input- and Output flow control sections, there's a slot for Switch Control Variable. I've tried to figure out exactly how this works but could not find anything in any Simio literature so far (Joines Roberts, Introduction to Simio, Simio Reference Guide and this Forum). I'm clearly missing something. How you would make use of this property to make switching between 5+ outbound links more intelligent? Thanks
  2. Thank you Adam! The Auto set table row reference step didn't work because I did not have an object column to the BHFV_Process table. When I applied this to the full model (the one I attached was abbreviated, and were missing steps to fire BHFVBankCap etc.) the model ran perfectly! This should shave off about 90% of manual replication during model construction Thank you so much for your help, you're a machine! Regards, Vanna
  3. Thanks Adam, The "open spreadsheet view" step is very effective and very close to what I was looking for. Unfortunately the “Auto set table row reference” step does not isn't doing the trick...not sure if I should be adding a token or some sort of clever dynamic search and set row step to get this working. Exporting the whole model to excel and modifying in there would probably have been a very elegant solution. Thanks for your help, saved a great deal of time.

    Import Objects From Spreadsheet

Hi guys, Great add in! Is it possible to define the add-on processes for servers, links etc. using this addin? That is, would it be possible to a few columns with Add-on processes as headings, lets say "Add on process: When entering" and then have "KeepEntityUntilX" as a process? Thanks.
  5. I'd like to reference add-on processes by linking to tables that which contain a reference to the process. Doing this decreases the time spent on mannual changes when replicating large parts of a model? I've attached a model to show the a basic example of this. In this model I'd like to reference the "FVBeforeProcessing_1_1_1" process from the FV1_1_1 server through a table, this makes more sense when I have 100 similar servers and 100 processes linking to the server. Any advice or chances for enlightenment? Basic process table link v1.spfx

Splitting flow between a bank of tanks

Thanks, I''ll give it a try although I fear that it might lead to more than one tank being filled at the same time? Thanks for the accumulation tip! My next question is: 1. How do I enable a single flow source or node to produce multiple entity types (preferably to a schedule)? 2. How do I limit tanks to only store 1 entity type at a time, even if the tank is not full?

Splitting flow between a bank of tanks

Thanks MEager, I managed to get around the problem by doing the following: Output node at source: Split flow "Preferred order by link weight" Links: Use Flow connectors rather than pipes and give each a link weight based on the state of the flow regulator that it links to. Tanks: Give each dynamic flow regulators that open only once a time period has passed after full or empty.
  8. Hi there, I'd like to split flow to a bank of tanks by filling them one by one from a single flow source. The first tank (any available tank) should be filled completely, as soon as this tank is filled the next tank available should be filled. The tanks should empty after a few hours and become available again once empty and cleaned. How would I model the routing logic? Just to clarify, any tank that is not full or being cleaned should be available to be filled and there should always be one tank that is currently being filled if available. A picture of the basic setup attached. I've tried a few triggers and add-on processes but the flow nodes seem to have less functionality than the standard node. Thanks for your help. Cheers
