Aperçu du programme

Le programme d’études de cas académiques de Simio est une réimagination du concours étudiant que Simio a organisé pendant de nombreuses années, mais avec l’objectif spécifique d’aider les participants à comprendre et à appliquer la modélisation dans un but précis.

  • Le programme d’études de cas académiques est une publication semestrielle de matériel pédagogique formulé autour d’un devoir, avec du matériel d’enseignement fourni pour aider les étudiants dans leur enquête, ainsi que des solutions pour le devoir.
  • Le programme sera proposé à l’automne et au printemps de chaque année universitaire, et les personnes inscrites auront accès en ligne aux documents pour chaque trimestre auquel elles sont inscrites.

Étude de cas académique actuelle – automne 2025

Burgh Threads, un petit fabricant de vêtements qui connaît une croissance inattendue après avoir été présenté par un vlogger populaire, est confronté à des taux d’exécution en baisse sans vouloir investir dans des équipements ou du personnel supplémentaires. Cette étude de cas invite les participants à optimiser un système de fabrication sur stock pour 52 UGS uniques en déterminant la taille optimale des lots et les points de réapprovisionnement. Avec des temps de préparation importants entre les ordres de fabrication et des contraintes incluant un stock maximum de 1000 articles et un objectif de taux de réalisation minimum de 95%, le défi consiste à développer un modèle de simulation qui équilibre les coûts de stock et l’efficacité de la production. Les participants doivent démontrer comment la stratégie qu’ils recommandent maximise les revenus tout en respectant les limites de stock sur une période de 120 jours, en fournissant des informations précieuses sur la planification de la production et la gestion des stocks pour les petits fabricants confrontés à une demande variable.
