Showing results for '"warm up"'.

Hello, I have been utilizing SIMIO for a couple of months, but I am still relatively new to some of the features and I recently encountered a difficulty that leads me to the following question. Is it possible to include an entire table in the model as a reference property in an experiment? I have a Table that controls the capacity of all servers at specific intervals within the simulation time, but I would like to include a warm up period in my simulation. The only manner I encountered to make this possible is through an experiment. The attached picture shows the Table, but there are too many parameters to reference them individually. If not possible, or perhaps an easier solution, is there a manner to include a warm up period in the simulation without having to perform an experiment? I would only like to take the model into a steady state prior to collecting statistics, but a need does not necessarily exist for me to perform an experiment.

I was wondeing if is there any way of doing a warm up period for the model. I know that's easy to do in the experiments mode, but It whould be great to be able to do it somehow in the facility view. Any suggestions? Rds.

Hi, In my simulation model, I am trying to reach the steady state for the results. So, I run the model with 100 replications for 5 year but if I change the 5 years to 6 years, or consider a 1 year warm up time, or 2 years warm up time for the system the results will vary differently for each changes . The changes are small for example the total waiting time increase around 4 minutes when I consider 2 years warm up for the system. So, how can I make sure the simulation results are steady state?

Hello, I am trying to model a kind of machining center (workstation) that is using different tools to process. I send an entity to the machining center and based on the information the ModelEntity has (e.g. red or green ring) different set of secondary resources should be used one after one. The workstation should setup once before the the different secondary resources begin to work. The tools (secondary resources) themselves need to be setup, too. This is a typical case in many production facilities using a base machinery that has to warm up or filled with cooling water,... and finally special product related tools are used for the processing. When the tools are changed they need an own special setup and teardown, too. What's an eays modeling approach for this task? Thanks Dietmar
