Hello, We are evaluating Simio and really like what we see from exploring the Simio Personal Edition. Custom Dashboards are a high priority for us and we appreciate the fact that Simio seems to allow creation of custom dashboards from within a model; however, we would like to know if Simio allows the creation of custom dashboards that are portable from model to model. For example, we would like to: Create a dashboard that displays a chart depicting activity cost per entity (for a selectable set of entities) over the simulation period. Reuse/import this dashboard into any model to display the activity cost per entity over the simulation period (for a selectable set of entities). Two questions: Is this possible with Simio? If yes, which edition(s) of Simio support this capability? Thanks in advance! Donovan -
Hi all, how would you approach this model? Workers are transporters and must be present at the servers to supervise each step. For now I have one worker and am using a personal edition of Simio. Server1 is an observation microscope where entities pass through a survey step. Server2 is a robot dispensing glue that has a finite window of appropriate elasticity after mixing. I started my model with a version very similar to the MoveableOperator where my worker goes back and forth between two servers running 6 entities individually before switching... six being the number of entities we believe can be processed with one batch of glue. When trying to model the delay step of glue mixing (ideally with worker movement to a separate node or location) I thought to add it as the first in a task sequence at Server2 with the condition that it only need to be applied when the server buffer was full of the 6 entities. This seemed to not fit well with the priority decisions that the worker already had for movement and the worker stalled. Basically, how would you model the fact that every 90 minutes we need a 15 minute delay for glue mixing and that once the glue is mixed the priority needs to be at Server2 until glue elasticity runs out?

According to the reference guide, I can attach a status label to a model entity by first choosing the model entity and the creating the status label. It works for me, but not all the time. May I know if there is a way to fix this? My simio version is 10.174 Personal Edition. Thank you -

Simio Portal is a separate SaaS (Software as a Service) product that is not included with any desktop product. But any desktop product, including Personal Edition, can generate models that can be uploaded into Portal where they can run and distribute the results. Contact our sales department (sales@simio.com) to get a demo of Portal. As you might imagine, many such models contain proprietary information which the company does not want to share. We are grateful to companies that are willing to share videos of what they have done - videos provide much tighter control over exactly what information is shared. This forum is a great place to connect with other users who may be willing to share real or sample models with you. -
Hello there, I'm new Simio. Currently, the company looking for a solution to add some simulation features to our products. After learning your fantastic videos, I think that Simio Simulation and Scheduling Software is suit for our requirement but few questions: 1)Does Simio Personal Edition user have a chance to experience Simio Portal Edition? I'd like to know more about how to integrate SImio with our SAP MES - based project. 2)The company's customs include Ford and DANA as well, so I'm really interested in the video like "Ford Valencia Plant" ( ) and wondering if can get the example model or something else like that. I'd like to take look closer and show that to the team (not just a video). It's may helpful to convince them to make a final decision . Thanks in advance.
