Washington, DC – May 5, 2015. As “Cloud Computing” becomes a bigger force in business, Simio CEO and Founder, Dennis Pegden, PhD., was invited to present at the NIST Workshop on Open Cloud Architectures for Smart Manufacturing. As stated on the NIST website, the purpose of the workshop was “an initial event for manufacturers and providers of IoT technologies, cloud platforms, and services to share their visions, and identify and prioritize barriers, forming a basis for focused follow-on events.”
Dennis spoke on executing simulation experiments in the Cloud. During his presentation, he explained the challenges and opportunities within simulation. “Where currently there are limitations on what you can do with 3d simulation with cloud computing,” says Dennis, “there are opportunities to allow for experiments to be executed in parallel. I will be excited to announce how Simio will be utilizing Cloud Computing more in the future.”
