Pioneering What-If Simulation with Intelligent Digital Twins
Simio empowers organizations to see beyond the present—simulating what-if scenarios with intelligent digital twins before decisions impact real-world operations.
Transforming Decision-Making Through Intelligent Digital Twin Simulation
At Simio, we believe the future of operations lies in the ability to see beyond the present—to explore possibilities and optimize decisions before they impact your real-world systems. This vision drives our mission to develop simulation solutions that empower organizations to navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.
Our journey began with a fundamental insight: traditional decision-making tools fall short in today’s dynamic business environment. Organizations need more than static models and historical data—they need intelligent systems that evolve with their operations and provide actionable insights in real-time.
Since our founding, we’ve pioneered advancements in Discrete Event Simulation, creating technology that transforms how businesses approach critical decisions. Our platform enables you to build dynamic process digital twins—virtual replicas of your operations that evolve with your business and integrate real-time data. These intelligent models allow you to test what-if scenarios without risk, turning uncertainty into opportunity and insight into action.
The implications of this technology extend far beyond incremental improvements. By enabling virtual experimentation without operational risk, we’ve helped organizations across industries discover optimal solutions that would remain hidden in traditional decision-making frameworks. Our digital twins don’t just replicate reality—they enhance your ability to shape it, providing unprecedented visibility into complex operations and enabling data-driven decisions that drive measurable business value.
Looking ahead, we see digital twin technology evolving toward even greater intelligence and autonomy. As these technologies mature, we envision a future where intelligent digital twins become trusted advisors in every operational decision, continuously generating insights that help organizations anticipate challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency and innovation.

Process Digital Twin: The Foundation of Our Technology
At the core of Simio’s solutions is our Process Digital Twin technology—a dynamic, evolving virtual representation of your operational systems. Unlike static models, our digital twins continuously update based on real-world data, creating an intelligent replica that evolves with your business.
Our Process Digital Twin technology enables you to:
- Test Before Investing – Validate capital expenditures and process changes in a virtual environment before physical implementation
- Simulate & Optimize – Model complex processes to identify inefficiencies and test improvement strategies without operational risk
- Visualize & Validate – Create accurate digital replicas to test equipment configurations and staffing models in a risk-free environment
- Predict & Prescribe – Leverage real-time data to forecast outcomes and receive AI-powered recommendations for optimal solutions
This technology serves as the foundation for our three core solutions, each designed to address specific operational challenges while leveraging the power of intelligent digital twins.
Discrete Event Simulation: The Engine of Digital Twin Technology
Simio’s Discrete Event Simulation platform powers our digital twin capabilities, enabling organizations to model systems as sequences of events occurring at specific points in simulated time. This sophisticated engine creates the foundation for virtual experimentation and optimization.
Our Discrete Event Simulation solution features:
- Advanced Event Processing – Model complex interactions between entities with sophisticated event handling capabilities
- Object-Oriented Design – Build comprehensive models using intelligent out-of-the-box object libraries
- Data-Generated Modeling – Create complex models faster using data-driven approaches that automatically generate components
- 3D Visualization – Experience models in three dimensions for intuitive understanding of complex operations
By combining discrete event simulation with digital twin technology, Simio enables organizations to create virtual replicas of their operations for testing and optimization without risk to actual systems. This integration delivers enhanced accuracy, predictive capabilities, and operational insights that drive measurable business value.
Advanced Planning & Scheduling: Optimizing Resources with Digital Twins
Our Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) solution leverages Process Digital Twin technology to revolutionize how businesses align strategic planning with day-to-day operations. By creating a digital replica of your production environment, APS enables optimal resource allocation while respecting complex business rules and constraints.
Simio’s APS solution powered by digital twin technology delivers:
- Constraint-Based Scheduling – Generate optimal schedules that balance competing priorities and constraints
- Real-Time Rescheduling – Quickly adapt to disruptions with automated schedule adjustments
- Dynamic Visualization – Gain complete visibility into production flows through interactive Gantt charts and 3D models
- What-If Analysis – Test different scheduling approaches in a risk-free virtual environment before implementation
The integration of digital twin technology with APS creates a powerful platform for production optimization, enabling organizations to reduce lead times, improve on-time delivery performance, and create more resilient and responsive production environments.
DDMRP Software: Aligning Supply Chains with Digital Twin Intelligence
Simio’s Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning (DDMRP) solution transforms traditional supply chain management by creating a digital twin of your inventory and material flows. This approach aligns inventory with actual demand signals rather than forecasts, creating more responsive and efficient supply chains.
Our DDMRP digital twin technology enables:
- Dynamic Buffer Management – Optimize inventory positions with adaptive buffer calculations that respond to changing conditions
- Flow-Based Planning – Position inventory strategically based on actual demand patterns rather than forecasts
- Supply Chain Simulation – Test different inventory positioning approaches in a virtual environment before implementation
- Real-Time Adaptation – Adjust to market changes with a digital twin that continuously updates based on actual demand
By implementing Simio’s DDMRP solution powered by digital twin technology, organizations create more agile supply chains that respond effectively to changing market conditions while reducing inventory costs and improving customer satisfaction.
