Introduction to Simio

This training session covers simulation technology and appropriate use, its benefits, pitfalls and typical results. This is appropriate to a wide audience. It is highly recommended to include upper management. This allows everyone to understand the technology and its potential and set realistic expectations. The training is appropriate to modelers, their managers, and other simulation stakeholders who might be involved at the edges of the project. This goes through a small example to illustrate a complete simulation project from inception to delivery as well as provides an introduction to what will be covered in the rest of the course.

Some topics are appropriate for only modelers and concentrate on technical content covering both Simio and general simulation skills. Note that each topic builds on the previous. Later portions provide tips and discussion of how to assure project success. The session closes with an opportunity to start applying what has been learned and to get some professional assistance in getting your initial project(s) off to a good start.
