Re: Scheduled maintenance

Use as timer which executes a custom process (timer_MTBF.Event).

You may then simplify the MTTR logic within the event driven process.

Hope this helps.

Re: Export Import Model Using A Text File

Could we possibly include user defined properties within this worksheet ??

Re: Splitting flow between a bank of tanks

The tanks should fill sequentially else the on processes are not linked correctly. I also have an example of direct entity transfer should you require. To assist with your questions. 1. Use a tank as the source and specify the initial contents with the correct entity volume distribution. Use events ...

Re: Splitting flow between a bank of tanks

Just further to the above, as I am currently looking at the same logic, when using a conveyor or pipe, be sure that the Accumulating Property is set to false. This will ensure flow does not stop.

Re: Splitting flow between a bank of tanks

If it works then great...I would however caution on your Split allocation Rule. That needs to be changed to "Proportional based on link weights if possible" which was recently released by Simio. The functionality is the same as "Split based on link weight", yet it does not stop all flow once one leg...

Re: Splitting flow between a bank of tanks

In a previous discussion with Simio, they noted that the functionality has been incorporated such that if you add multiple tanks (via sub classing a single object) the tanks would sequentially fill until all is full. This was last year sometime discussing flowcontainer entities. We have not tested o...

Re: Flow Server

Thanks Willem, Little bit swamped but I will have a look. I hope it works as I have a tank for a source (primary and secondary crushers) and a filler object at the end. This leads to that error which Simio does not seem to wanna fix. When I have time, I will create a small model demonstrating this b...

Re: Flow Server

Willem, Like what you have done yet I do believe Simio needs to extend the "Add On" processes to better control residuals, user defined state changes, and entity assignments such as quality allocations for this object. Trying to do something similar with the addition of the water circuit added to th...

Re: Transportation Library

Auto destroy is a good idea.

Just one thing on the filler to keep in mind, the source tank may have a capacity greater than or less than the entity being filled. Important to test fringe conditions.

Re: Transportation Library

Hi Glen, I feel your pain...hahaha....and please whatever you do stay away from Math.Epsilon for this... Lets have a look at this based on the impact that this problem will have on a Tanker object (Transportation Requests) for I think the ultimate generic solution for all FlowContainer elements shou...

Re: Transportation Library

Glen... This logic clashes with the stacked bars since the entity density has been omitted from this discussion, hence the stacked bars animation always need be corrected. the equation goes volume = mass/density...Thus 2 variables need to be available as user inputs whilst one variable should alway...

Re: Transportation Library

Thing here is Alan, if you look at the example included in the transportation library, you will note that they assign volume = 5 and weight = 5. Thus if you want to use this transporter for weight or volume you have to make a double assignment each time. Throw some other conversions such as weight =...

Re: Transportation Library

Hi Glen, There is also no onEntered process on the FlowInputNode on the dock.... Since the feed will 7/10 times be from a tank, how do you change the priority of the entity that is flowing to effect the Priority routing on the Transporter ?? Since entity instances change as they flow through regulat...
