Re: Recording Vehicle travel and multiple Entities (Simio 8)

 by dsturrock ¦  Sun Dec 03, 2017 2:45 am ¦  Forum: Discussions ¦  Topic: Recording Vehicle travel and multiple Entities (Simio 8) ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 183

If you look at the default statistics for vehicles you will find both time traveled and distance traveled.
But if you decide you need custom behavior or statistics, I'd suggest looking at the ElectricVehicle SimBit for an example.

You might start by looking at the ElectricVehicle SimBit. That should give you an idea how to add states and properties to a vehicle. Vehicle automatically collects a lot of statistics. You might need to add some custom statistics to supplement.

Extras Library

 by dsturrock ¦  Thu Nov 16, 2017 2:00 pm ¦  Forum: SI Shared Items ¦  Topic: Extras Library ¦  Replies: 0 ¦  Views: 2547

This is a pre-release (Beta) version of a library that we expect will become a formal part of Simio. The Extras Library contains: --a simplified and easier to use version of our Cranes library --an Elevator object for modeling a multi-floor single elevator or bank of elevators. --Lift Truck with a l...

You don't say why you want to do this, I would guess for some sort of analysis on the first 30 versus the second 30? Simio isn't made to do this. There are a few hacks you might use to make this happen, but the easiest is probably to simply run 60 replications, then export the data and do whatever c...

Periodic Statistics

 by dsturrock ¦  Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:43 pm ¦  Forum: SI Shared Items ¦  Topic: Periodic Statistics ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 326

Ever want to track statistics periodically, like by hour, shift, day, or week? I created this pair of objects for a customer about a year ago, then forgot to do anything with it. Perhaps others will find this to be useful. The solution is two objects, one for states and one for tallies, that allow y...

Re: Track State Statistic in Experiment

 by dsturrock ¦  Sun Aug 20, 2017 9:38 pm ¦  Forum: Discussions ¦  Topic: Track State Statistic in Experiment ¦  Replies: 5 ¦  Views: 3129

To extend the above example, the Monitor element would fire an event and/or trigger a process. In that process you would need to have a Tally step that records an observation on a TallyStatistics element.

If you had posted this in the Simio Insiders area I would have included a screen shot.

Statfit does that automatically if you select Simio as the Export Application.

The meaning of Simio's parameters are well described in help and consistent with industry standards. It appears that you may not be choosing the correct export application in Stat::Fit. When I choose the default export I see 3 parameters, but when I choose the Simio application it shows an expressio...

The best choice is to use the Task Sequences option of the Server.

If you want a solution to a problem, it is best to post your questions inside Simio Insiders where we can post files with the response. I tried what I think you are doing and it worked fine for me, aside from the fact that the expression you used creates 1 arrival per event between 6- 11 am, 2 arriv...

They are similar statistics except that the first statistic looks at the resource state as it changes over time ... successive "busy" states with no state change between them (e.g. there is no idle time) are considered to be a single busy state. For the second statistic each entity is recorded separ...

A slightly more efficient and easier to read version of the same logic:
Math.If(((DateTime.Hour(TimeNow)>6)&&(DateTime.Hour(TimeNow)<=10)), (1-p1), 0 )

Or shorter:
((DateTime.Hour(TimeNow)>6)&&(DateTime.Hour(TimeNow)<=10))*(1-p1)

There are many ways to do this. In that same SimBit, if you look into the definition of MyVehicle, near the bottom you will find a process named StartChargingBattery. One way is to simply change the properties of that Decide step.
