I’ve been making a Swiss watch too myself with attempts to build a perfect model and I agree that we really should look at the whole picture first instead of trying to fine tune less important things in the model. I kind of got stuck doing that when i tried to combine fine tune pieces together without looking at the big picture and it double the time to complete a perfect model as the equally accurate ones

These “luxuries” come from our mind to purchase perfection. So many great creations are based on that. May be we could record them in a note book and stop thinking about them.

Interesting example!
In China, there is an adage “if you can’t walk, do not think about run.” Basic requirements and completing projects on time are always the most important things that we need to focus on. Everyone likes Swiss watches, but due to all kinds of constraints, sometimes it is very difficult to get the desired objective. When doing project, we all should keep in mind-concentrating on the basics first.
