Simio Academic Software Request

Simio makes top quality, state-of-the-art software available to professors, students, and researchers via an automatic grant. Our academic products are functionally equivalent to Simio Design Edition including discrete and continuous modeling, object library development, and 3D animation. There are no limits on model size.

  • Academic Version for installation on any computers owned by an institution whose primary business is teaching. May be used in student labs as well as by professors and researchers.
  • Student Version for undergraduate and graduate student use on their own computers. Up to 8-month licenses for installation on student home computers are available directly to students for a nominal fee.

The only limit to the above software is that it may not be used for commercial work. Specifically, by ordering this software, you agree that you will not allow private sharing of any type of simulation results (including models, animations, reports, and other similar artifacts) with anyone outside your organization. Public sharing of results, as in a published paper, is permissible. You also agree that you will acknowledge the Simio Educational grant on a public portion of your class, department or institution web site.
