Founders Bios:
Paul Gorman is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gorman,
Green and Associates. During the course
of his career, Mr. Gorman specialized in start-ups and turnarounds of software
companies. Most recently, he served as
Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Electronic Retail Systems, a software
and systems integration company in Newport
Beach, CA. He has also worked as a consultant to
software companies such as ASG Systems, Naples,
FL.
Mr. Gorman worked as Sales
Director for Compuware Europe, BV, Amsterdam,
The Netherlands, where he led a team of sales professional across 9 northern
European countries. Prior to that, he
served for 16 years in various roles ranging from Product.
Sales Manager to Sales
Director for CACI Products Company, La Jolla, CA, which specialized in the
development and sales of simulation modeling compilers and applications. In this capacity, he was variously
responsible for the sales of all CACI products as well as European sales
operations.
Mr. Gorman also worked as
Operations Research Analyst for Ketron, Inc., specializing in anti-submarine
operations, and as Senior Operations Research Analyst for Federal Express
Corporation.
During his military career,
Mr. Gorman was a Navy helicopter pilot with sub-specialty in anti-submarine
warfare (ASW). He retired at the rank of
Commander.
He holds an MS in Operations
Research/Systems Analysis from the Naval
Postgraduate School
and a BS from The Ohio State University.
John M. (Mike) Green is Co-Founder of Gorman, Green and Associates and Chief Technical
Officer (CTO). He is also currently a
Senior Lecturer in the Systems Engineering Department at the Naval Postgraduate
School. His previous positions included Senior
Principal Systems Engineer with Raytheon Naval and Maritime Integrated Systems
in San Diego
where he researched interoperability issues related to Network-Centric Warfare
and worked on the architecture for Common Command and Control. Before Raytheon, he was Manager of Advanced
Systems at ITT Gilfillan, Van Nuys, CA where he led a team developing concepts
for high-power, solid-state
radars.
Mr. Green has also worked for
Lockheed Martin in Moorestown,
NJ where he was Technical
Director for the Norwegian Frigate project and System Engineer for the
Taiwanese PFG-2 Class Combat System design.
In addition he did research into advanced combat systems for submarines
while employed at Electric Boat.
During his military career,
Mr. Green served on a variety of ships including a submarine tender, a
destroyer, a carrier, and six submarines, rising from Seaman Recruit to
Lieutenant Commander.
He holds an MBA and MS in
Computer Science from University of New Haven, an MA in International Relations from Salve Regina
College, and a BS from Saginaw Valley State
University.
Mr. Green is a Senior Member
of IEEE and AIAA. He is also a member of
the Military Operations Research Society (MORS); the American Society of Naval
Engineers; the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science; the
Association of Old Crows, and the International Council on System
Engineering. He is a graduate of the Naval War College, College
of Command and Staff.
